I get the feeling that the Maverick is going to be bigger than first anticipated. I think there's some concern that when Ranger owners come here and look at the link for new posts they're going to get tired of weeding through the Maverick stuff.

I think we can create a Maverick site that could be the equivalent of TRS and reach more people than we could by adding a subforum here.

People are sickened by the prices of new cars and trucks these days. A little truck that’s can carry the whole family, has a small bed to toss stuff in, and starts at $20k could be a huge hit. If Ford markets it right, they’ll sell the sh!t out of these.

A $20-25k budget won’t get you much of a truck these days... maybe a 6-8 year old f150 with 100k miles on it. -OR- it can get you a brand new Maverick. For most people, the Maverick will do all the “truck stuff” they will ever need.
Once they own a truck (even one with a little bed), most of them won’t want to go back to a car. They’ll either stay in a little truck or upgrade to something a little bigger (cough, Ranger, cough).

As you know, I own a Bronco Sport. It’s basically the same as the Maverick, without the bed. I’m not ashamed to admit that I like it. It’s quick, nimble, and can fit it a parking spot (Compared to my f150). After driving that, I can see the Maverick becoming popular.

I think the size and price point will make it popular. I think it will be popular enough to need its own forum.

I looked at a '16 XL F-150 a few weeks ago, white supercrew, 5.0... Not a bad truck for me but most would baulk at the XL stuff.

They were asking $26k and it wasn't on the lot a week. Only had 100k miles.

I built a comparable new one online... around $50k

Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
I just don't envision a ton of New Maverick owners flocking here for their forum "fix". They'll be going to Maverick.com or whatever it may be.

Any Maverick related stuff posted here, i imagine, would be from people who also own rangers and are here primarily for ranger stuff.

A dedicated site would be good, but so would having a section here.

It would probably be better to just have a redirect link to the Maverick site than dedicating a section here.

A section here and a site there will compete with each other too.

I like the idea of a Maverick site where I can post more unless info, I know even less about Mavericks :)

i.e.
you need new rear u-joints on your 2WD Maverick to get rid of that clunk
Hybrid means it can use gasoline or propane
AWD means "adjustable wheel diameter" for ride height

Can't wait

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
What size tires will fit my Maverick? And whats the best CAI to put on it for more power?

Can I add a glove compartment to my ‘72 Maverick? I know the ‘73+ came with them.
Oh, wrong forum?! I thought this was a Maverick forum!?

I mean... a subforum here doesn't really compete with a full site, does it? We already have subforums for the b2, sport trac, xploder...

Do those subforums really steal a meaningful amount of traffic from the Broncocorral and the others?
