God of tech.....if that was the case he wouldnt have burnt up a $120 unit allready more like the "messiah"

Sadly, yes all parts will now be "as is" except for all the people I have allready dealt with.

Umm, he wasn't trying to help someone out. He was trying to get some money for a spare part. That is all. All the "nice" stuff he said he would do was AFTERWARD; he never offered to let me try it out for instance; everything he said implied payment in advance. That's not being helpful. That's being defensive.

For "as is" condition, it was priced FAR too high. It was reasonable for known-working condition. Those go for $20 at a junkyard, not $50 plus $10 or so shipping.

I wouldn't bother with an as-is valve unless I had no alternative.

mhughes, this is not at all an analogous situation. I know exactly what I want. I never ordered this thing, it was never shipped, it was never paid for, etc.
