So this has been talked about many times on other forums and it seems to have a very wide gap between highest and lowest reported average. Some claim V8 like teens while others claim Prius like miles. For the most part it seems the average is some where between 22 and 27 mpg.

So let's give this a try.
So what are you getting city and highway?
Where do you drive and what type of terrain?
What's you average top speed?
Tire size?
Gear ratio?
Transmission type?
Any mods?
Cab type and 2WD or 4WD

I put longer shackles on the back so I am always going down hill
Now I just coast where ever I go

Since my motor was rebuilt and is still in break in process first tank was 14mpg, second tank was 18, last fill up was 24mpg.

So what are you getting city and highway? - 50/50 split for the most part
Where do you drive and what type of terrain? - Roads its only 2wd so off road is not possible
What's you average top speed? - City 30-40 highway - 60-80
Tire size? - 21575R15
Gear ratio? 3.73
Transmission type? m5od manual
Any mods? Motor was built and prepped to be turbo charged. Diamond racing dish pistons .030 over, plasma chromoly ring, svo rods from my turbo motor, stock crank, newly casted 2.3 ranger head.
Cab type and 2WD or 4WD - Extended Cab 2wd.

That's impressive. So far I am getting about 25~26 highway with 3.45s and 215/75R14s. However it's worth noting my truck is not 100% yet and I think going to 3.73s might help a little when using 5th gear at 60mph.
