Hi guys, I have some questions ... I am doing a solid axle swap dana 44 in my 1996 ford ranger!
I have some questions ...
I purchased Skyjacker springs 6 inches, they would be good for sas? Use 2 "body lift, with more springs I can use these 37" ?
Thanks

Since no one answers me, I'm trying to research the Skyjacker springs 6, for use in sas ... I was sad, overpaid these springs, took three months to get here in Brazil ... from what I've read these springs are one shit for use in sas! Can anyone help me?
Will be bad? someone used 6" skyjackers in SAS? Thanks

I have the 6in skyjacker spring in the rear of my truck, so far they have held up great and they flex really good. But to match my front lift height I added a 1.5 shackle lift plus a lift block.

The rear is no problem, my problem is the front springs !

Most say ttb springs are to stiff and won't flex, u may want to look into some lifted jeep xj coil spring or early bronco spring.

Correct, TTB springs don't flex well at all on a solid axle or a TTB.

×2, on Jeep XJ (Cherokee) springs or early Bronco springs.
I run Skyjacker's 6" XJ springs under my BII, they are very well-made springs (no loss of height that I can tell in the 8 years I've had them).

swap is impossible ... the shipping cost would be absurd
I bought these springs over 1 year!
I'm joining parts for upgrades in my truck for 2 years(tcaase, axles, supercharger, teires, wheels and others)... Did not think to sas the original springs not serve !!
These springs come here for $500 due to absurd taxes required in my corrupt Brazil!
Just for you guys understand the value of these spring, the salary here in this terrible country is $ 240!
I will sell these springs right here!
And what Spring xj should I buy?I want the height of Skyjacker 6 "ranger coil springs!
I need that spring?
8 "xj?

***sorry my english***

6" xj coils will give you about the same lift on a ranger...

Guys, need to buy new springs... What do you suggest me?
My project is Ranger 1996 4.0 supercab, sas early bronco, long arms and 37 tires... Do not want body lift!
I will use winch and a supercharger on my 4.0 ... a little extra weight on the front!
which springs should I use? XJ our Early Bronco?
8 " xj coil ?? What advantage and disadvantage? Is too soft?
7 " early bronco coils? Is very hard?

A Supercab truck might be a bit too heavy for XJ coils...

I would suggest the early Bronco coils. It's been said in the past they give about 2" additional height on a SAS'ed Ranger as they would the early Bronco they're made for (so for example, 3.5" EB coils would lift a Ranger ~5.5" over stock height).

Since you don't have much leeway for errors, I would suggest (ideally) doing a bit of research on whichever springs you intend to get for it (call up the manufacturers if needed).
You should find out what their free (unloaded) length is, and what their spring rating is in pounds per inch (PPI). Then you can calculate using the weight of your truck how much they will compress so that you will have some idea how tall they will be once everything is all said and done.

Hope that helps.
