Hi, I recently bought a 1988 Ford Ranger XLT from my buddy. Been driving it for a few days and I've encountered a problem.
Truck starts and idles great with no issue. After a few minutes of driving, it'll completely shut off. Like someone turned the ignition off to it mid drive. After I stop, put it in park, it starts right back up again with no issue. Then it'll carry on the day with no problem. This only occurs if I let it sit for a little bit. Example being if I go inside a store and come back an hour later. It'll drive just fine and bam, it shuts off again. Rinse and repeat.
I have no idea where to start with it. Any pointers or help?
