Project 4x4 Commuter Mazda

hey legoms, do my eyes deceive me, or do you not have a front sway bar?

Your eyes don't decieve you, I am running no sway bar. I don't plan on putting it back on unless I haul my quad.

My truck has been "sway-barless" forever. Hardly notice it.

good to know, i've never run mine without it and i dont wanna roll my b2 once i lift it, my dad already did that right after he bought it. looks like it's comin off tomorrow, thanks guys :icon_cheers:

With the B2 being so short, I'd take it off and run it and see if it drives acceptable. It may or may not.

With my truck being up so high now I do have to take a little more consideration when going around turns. BUT the only way RBV's can get away with no sway bar is because a) the nature of the suspension doesn't constitute itself very well to body roll (at least the front axle anyway) and b) because RBV coils are so DANGED STIFF.

If I put a bunch of weight in the bed, like my 500lb quad, body roll is unbearable and I have to run a sway bar in such situations, and probably even more so now with the extra lift.

Shocks too short [but I knew that]. Need bumpstops [knew that too]. Driveline still rubs and I'm pretty sure it wakes the dead and kills the living everytime I hear it.

This is true, maybe some other ppl will catch on too. I mean, I'd vote for it if it wasn't my truck lol :icon_twisted:

Do you have any other pictures of the upper shock mount on those JD coil buckets?

And what did you use for extended brake lines?

i really like ur truck, plan on heading the same direction with mine once cash allows. the gas mileage issue u spoke of was similar to mine. i had bought my truck with 33'' mt/r's but it was guzzelling gas so got the stock wheels from the junkyard. i never figured out the acutal difference but it is a lot more quiet with the stocks and a fill up lasts me a little longer

For brake lines I used Skyjacker's epoxy coated braided steel extended lines from autopartswarehouse.com and then extended them with rubber lines mentioned here in the tech library because they weren't long enough I felt.
