Second coated most of the previously done back half. Started first coat inside the frame rails.

No Hunting Purple Krylon shock paint. Should be just the right amount of 90s minitruck

PVC scraps, an extra trailer U-bolt, and the back lug on the cattlerack makes a decent painting/drying stand.

I used those racks, cut down 50%, to do the sides on Barney’s trailer. Might cut them down further on the Dodge.

Oh, that’s “Rat F*** the Wonder Truck” the most reliably unreliable truck I’ve ever owned. 1969 D100-128 going from 2wd 1/2t to 4wd 3/4t via K20/K30 Chevy axles.

Easy, very easy…
1. 4 corner leaf springs as issued, beam axle 2wd.
2. Squarebody GM f/r axles are a direct bolt in. Including the leaf springs, same width/length.
3. Replace 727 2wd tailhousing with a 4wd tailhousing. Bolt on Dodge or GM spec NP205. Add crossmember.
4. Use the driveshafts from the K20/30 donor truck.

I’m using Squarebody and gmt400 parts to add: power steering, power brakes, power windows, updated seat/shoulder belts,

Have 8 restomods currently underway. Even building a first year Subaru Outback into a battlewagon for my wife.

Hers: 95 Outback, 06 Pontiac Vibe, Barney, 85 C10 swb lowrider; 05 Kawasaki Drifter 800.
Shelby’s: 97 and 07 rcsb rwd 2.3, 1 5spd and 1 auto.
Mine: 99 K3500 c&c SAS on C60 spring packs, carburetor conversion; 69 D100; 1949 Dodge 1/2t; 72 Cal Look Super Beetle; 99 Kawi 1500 Drifter, 01 1500 Drifter, 01 800 Drifter, 03 800 Drifter; 99 Kawi VN800A Vicla style; 03 Suzuki Savage Vicla style (for honorary grandson)…

Not buying anything else made after 1954 for cars.

Barney is the burgundy 94. L’il Bit is the red 97. Both are rcsb 2.3/5spd rwd beaters. 246k+ on Barney. 288k+ on L’il Bit.

Barney is mine. L’il Bit belongs to my “work niece, farm daughter” Shelby, who dailies an 07 version of L’il Bit, but with a haunted 4spd automatic.

Barney is going “Faux Street”, good tires, decent(ish) alloys, every suspension enhancement I can make to a stock ride height 2wd.

L’il Bit is just getting cleaned up and made a runner again. It tried to eat a deer. Both died…

It’s a rot box, so is my 49 Dodge. And the horse trailer. Will be 2nd time rebuilding the 69 and horse trailer. The 49 last ran in 1994, grandpa last licensed it in 1974, 6 months before my little brother was born. I drove it for a few weeks on 20 year expired tags, farm country. Actually never been registered under its serial number, just its engine number.

1969? No cab floor, unless bed frame angle iron, chunks of 2x4 and roof flashing count. Door corners and bases are gone. Hood leading edge is rotted out. Bed end caps are rotted out, and one is crushed in.

1949? Toe board and fender braces are rotten. Passenger kick panel rotten. Two piece widshield fell in and is resting on the steering wheel. Fuel tank looks like a cheesegrater. Getting replaced with the polyethylene tank from my 1992 Ranger parts roach. Door bottoms are gone. Tree chunk around a rear upper shock mount and the brake line.

Horse trailer floor is totally gone, again. Will be replaced with hobby farm grown black locust heartwood. Will saw it on farm as well with an Alaska Mill, aka, man killer. Has surge brakes, rebuilt the whole pivot mess with oilite bronze bushings that have turned green from our Amazon jungle level humidity (year round).
