So, I’ve thought of those, the problem is that they don’t flow the gear oil correctly. You need a cover that is similar to a stock one on the inside or it doesn’t flow the oil right. Not usually the end of the world on a crawler, but a potential problem for something that sees highway speeds regularly
I had heard of that before, but wasn't aware it was a problem for the RuffStuff one. Now I wonder if anyone makes something compatible or if I'd be better off doubling up. Stock cover inside a thick plate like that. With a hole drilled in the bottom of the stock cover to allow the drain to still work.
