Mile Marker Hubs

Has anyone used Mile Marker hubs on a D35, TTB, RVB? I can get these really cheap. (It’s good to have family connections) So unless I find out they are junk, I will be installing a set next week.

The consensus of those I have spoken with is they are “Good stuff”.

Also, does anyone know if the nuts and lock washers mentioned in this link http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16 will work with Mile Marker hubs?

yes those spindle nuts will work with mile marker hubs. ive had mile marker hubs for a few years now, broke one last winter but that was my own fault, i was backing into a parking spot that had a snowpile in it, thought id just put it in 4 low and put the back end of the truck up on it, didnt think that the front tires were on cleared pavement, the back tires were on snow and as the bumper pushed against the snowpile and started to go up it the back tires had nothing to grip, the entire load of the truck was on the front axle and bang, the internal lock ring broke in 3 pieces. glad it wasnt a stub shaft or spider gears that broke. ive pulled out a few vehicles with the mile markers and not had a problem. i reguarly floor it in the snow in 4wd and take corners spinning the tires in the snow, with what i put them through they seem to hold up fine. i am running stock 235-15 tires, 3.73 gears and a 4.0 with the manual trans. most of my 4wd useage is street in the snow, my once in a while off-roading in the summer is just a drive across a field, usually have hubs locked just in case but only put it in 4wd if i find a wet spot.

Several here have had the Mile Marker hubs let loose in offroad situations, particularly with bigger than stock tires.

If you just need the 4WD to work during winter conditions, the MM hubs probably would work fine for you. If you're thinking of building your truck up for offroad trail use, then I'd suggest Warn hubs instead (the #37780 Jeep hubs if you plan to use a differential locker up front).

I just installed a pair of Mile Markers on my truck last week. I don't off-road at all, I just need 4wd for driving in the snow, so the Mile Markers are more than strong enough for my purposes. The price was also the reason I chose them over Warns. Got the pair brand new on eBay for $73 with free shipping.
