can you still use the 5x4.5 bolt pattern with the new knuckles?
sorry bud, i must have missed ur post. i cannot use 5 on 4.5 with the knuckes. the hubs use a different mounting bolt pattern... well im sure i could machine an adapter but it would be pointless.

WOW! Couldn't of said it better! I have always thought the same thing. :headbang:
Can't wait to build my ranger up like yours, great work! :icon_cheers:
thanks man! im sure ive mensioned it before but i think id rather go a-arm long travel!

they are the Beard Racing Enduro seats. thy are pretty comfortable and i do recommend. they are expensive tho. close to $500 a piece but i got them for $350 the pair.

Still in California. Hating it still. Moving back to KY in October though, so thats what I am looking forward too.

Thanks for the comment brother. It still needs a good amount of work. Taking it to the Hammers in February for KOH. I wont run the Hammer trails, but I will take on some of the JV trails out there.

i have been waiting for you to actually flog the balls off of the fawker and sifting through the aftermath....start entertaining the thought of putting a 60 in it.

very surprised you did not truss it heavily yet.

well trussed(light as possible)with some sort of 35 spline locker and cv shafts would make it a killer upgrade. the incrementation to get to this point is astounding. your luck of trade and wheel and deal to keep the hit off your pocket is something to be envious of for sure...

i know i would fold that axle up like a cheap lawn chair, so i am surprised its not tweaked yet. hats off to you:icon_cheers:

he hasnt had it where he could get stupid with it.

my point is what i know of the ext cabs quirks, the rubi axles still need trussing

with some 35 spline cv shafts a 44 keeps weight down and strength up....friggen 60 is expensive to maintain if you get mud invasion frequently and they are waaaaayyy heavy.

if my rig was locked my frame would have folded up some time back....

i have considered a hybrid axle....my unsprung is ridiculous.

The 07 up Rubi axle needs trussing, but C-note is running an 03, and one of my best friends has a 97 TJ with 03 rubi axles in it and he goes ANYWHERE in that and it isn't trussed.

I know i am keeping my 44 up front, just going to 3/4 ton spindles, high steer, and RCV axles, along with a truss. Be just as strong as a 60 and not the size of Rosanne

well i havent had a chance to do jack out here. ive played around in a few puddles but nothing worthy of taking a few shots.

the ball joints are the weak point on these axles. they tend to seperate very easily. other than that, i have no complaints. but i have upgraded this axles as much as i can think is possible besides trussing the hell out of it. ive got the chevy 6 lug big bearing spindles on it with the Reid Racing knuckles.

hopefully Josh is up for a trip to Ocotillo Wells or somewhere around there when i get back to SoCal this summer. ill be wheelin the shit out of it and for sure will be breaking something for ya Bobby:icon_thumby:

for the record, ive started designing machining my own suspension joints since the Rubicon Express joints that i bought are shit quality and pretty small. maybe a rear 4 link project in the future if i can get a deal on rear coilovers or a decent set of airshocks. well see!
