EX auto tranny to manual swap

So you still need some parts? I am doing the oposite swap as i drive a dump truck every day at work I want to be lazy in my personal vehicle. I have a 91 with a 4.0 5speed I am about to put a new motor in and replace the 5 speed with an auto.

No my boot is torn around the bolt holes. I was hoping to work out a swap as I need alot of your parts but after noticing how far u are from me I would probably fair better to just buy a junker close to me to steal what I need from.

Which one of these is the correct clutch pedal switch for my ex?

Do I have to have the one with the metal pole sticking out of it, or can I just buy the first one that is the cheapest?
THEN, I ALSO have to get a neutral safety switch?


I have parts that I'm looking through, and need to know what a TOB and pilot bearing looks like. Are the TOB and pilot bearing on the slave cylinder along with the spring? Ive seen pics of slave cylinders that looks totally in one piece, but I need to know the individual pieces.

That metal rod is for the master cyl. Your master should already have one.

Most slaves come with a TOB. Most clutch kits come with the pilot bearing. The pilot bearing doesnt go in the slave, it goes in the end of the crank or the flywheel, depending on the design (4.0ls have it in the flywheel.) It supports the tip of the trans input shaft.

Which, the clutch pedal switch? Theres a connector with a jumper under the dash. Remove the jumper and plug it in.

Or the rod? It connects the master and the pedal together.

Yeah the clutch pedal switch. Its got a whole buncha connectors on it. What color is the jumper under the dash?

Its hard to miss. Its the only connector that looks like it will fit in the clutch pedal switch, and its within a few inches the where the switch would be.


There you go again, making this harder then it is.
