oh and make sure you have the manual trans mounting bolts, trust me, i've read on here they are the same, but the manual trans bolts are longer, and you will be screwed without them, i ran all over the world for bolts, no one had the size, they are metric, so i had to get a ride to my job (bout 22 miles) when they were closed to get the right size bolts

Yeah, I've heard these cylinders are a pain in the butt to bleed too. What is bench bleeding?

I'll have to find them somewhere...the tranny that I'm buying does not have them. Probably have to go to the dealership for them.

i would just get them locally somewhere, probably alot less then the dealer, i forget the size or i'd tell you, i know they are a few different lengths cuz i grabbed a bunch of bolts the right diamater and thread, but i had to stack washers on a few bolts cuz they were too long and bottomed out in the block, one of these days i'm gonna pull them out and cut the excess off because it bothers me :icon_rofl:

First of all, there is nothing wrong with the Autozone clutchset. I'm runnin it in mine.
As for bench bleeding the slave cylinder, mine came pre-bled(from AZ). But you can basically open the bleed valve, and push more fluid in thru the fitting.

Not sure if I saw it, but you need a clutch master cylinder also.

Don't forget the clutch pedal assembly from a similar dash ex, ranger or B2. It takes about an hour to remove the steering column, dash gauges and assembly. It helps to have small hands to do this. I changed the column out on mine so I didn't have the gear selector just sittin there.

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
Tammy:
The clutch pedal switch goes on the rod from the pedal to the master.

Kevin:
You shoulda asked for help, I can have that dash out in about a half hour. I've pulled quite a few of them.

Ok, will I be able to find this switch new or will I just have to find a pedal with it on there?

What is the procedure for getting that dash apart? Will I need to do that first before putting the tranny in?

Its not that bad. Took me and two buddies three days. The dash isnt as scary as it sounds. Its all just plug and play. You also need to find the cut out piece for the stick. Or prepare to cut your floor up.

There's a place where they cut into the floor for a stick shift in an auto? wow. Three days to undo a dash seems like a long time for 3 people, I can only imagine what it would take one person. isn't there any other way to get the pedals in there?

Lol. Three days for the whole swap. The dash was a hour to get it out and a hour back in. It wasnt that bad.
