I looked in the tech forum, I read about somewhere that I can make a vacuum advance distributor myself somehow but I cannot find the exact tech article or forum can someone link it for me please?

I cannot find a cardone 30-2691 for the life of me. I am going to peg the TFI for now and eventually go TBI if all else fails.
I thought I found a website in Ohio selling them half a year ago but I can’t find it anymore.

if anyone has one that works, I’d love to buy it.

No conversion that I know of. They do offer a Bosch type distributor that fits these engines. They are usually found overseas in Britain, I thought I saw new ones for sale.

Running the TFI will get you going. I ran mine for almost a year like that. Drove it to work everyday, very reliable. Just a little down on fuel mileage.

Another possibility is to check with Mustang II vendors like Second Generation Mustang in Pa. I'd probably try one of those new ones first and hope a U.S. resident didn't have to pay the 20% "value added tax".
