dropped pitman arm and carrier Qs

how much of a drop pitman arm would you suggest for a 7-8 inch eb 44 lift thanks and also do i need to change the carrier to put 4.88s or 4.56s in or can i get a thick gear

It depends on how you want to set up your steering. With crossover high steer at 7" lift I'm actually on top of the stock pitman arm. Without crossover high steer I needed a 6" drop pitman arm. Best thing to do would be to get some PVC pipe and mock up your steering and measure.



Dana 44 carrier break, 3.73 and down 3.92 and up, but thick cut gears are available.
