I took your advice and installed the Duff traction bars. I'm not entirely sure if this was a handling improvement, but i'm glad I have them. My little 3.0 liter is certainly no hot rod, but i noticed right away that the shifts were cleaner.

Traction bars limit/reduce axle wrap which could definitely make shifting feel better. It's on the to-do list for the '99 after I figure out how the rear suspension will be setup. Spring over, spring under, ranger, explorer, etc.

Larger rear sway bar is right there next to it.

Iirc, if you're pushing thru a corner, go smaller front or bigger rear bar.
Opposite if the ass end wants to kick out.

Good advice, but there are other things that can contribute to pushing in a corner. Even tire pressure distribution can help with that.

Next I'm thinking of a beefed up Bronco II rear sway bar too. The stock Ranger sway bars are just fine for city driving, They feel okay at highway speeds, but still, for safety's sake, the handling could be improved.

I couldn't find a thick B-2 bar, so I took one off a f-150 and bent the arms in with a 20ton press. It fit fine after.

20 ton press? Lucky you! Now you got me wondering. Is the B-2 bar pretty much the same as the Ranger?

Yes. I have one on the back of my 2011. The hardest part was moving the fuel tank so the end link on that side could be bolted in. The holes in the frame are already there.

The front b2 bar can be thicker. Not sure about rear. I had to go to friends place for 20 ton press. Biggest I have is 10 ton.
