Yes...another swap question

I've searched in vain in the tech section and limited online searches for the answer, but....

will a 4r44e on a 95 ranger 3.0L work on my 92 ranger 2.9L ?

I did not see that particular set up on the transmission swap screen in the tech forum. Or....can I put both the 3.0 and tranny in my truck?

3.0 trans will not work on 2.9s only 2.8s 2.9s and both 4.0 trans will work

Here is the deal:

3.0 bolt pattern is the odd-ball. It doesn't match the other V-6s.

a 5R series trans needs electronics that the 2.9 doesn't have.

So you either need a different trans OR take the 3.0, the trans, and ALL the wiring (and probably the dash) from this other truck and drop them in yours.
