I know there's a $150 option on eBay for a plug and play frequency generator bypass. But I bought a couple styles off of Amazon to mess around with and have as an emergency backup if my sensor ever goes out.
My sensor reads 57hz according to scan data on regular 87. I can adjust from 1hz to 500hz so the frequency shouldn't be an issue.
