LOL..
Wow....
Not particularly in my opinion. I guess it all boils down to whether you believe in the Declaration of Independence and what it stands for or not. Regardless of whether I'm "legally" bound to follow it is irrelevant to me, I consider myself morally obligate. Again, I know that my morals are not "law", but our country was founded on those beliefs, the fact that Jefferson owned slaves has no bearing on my morals or my beliefs. I can't second guess the framers opinions or what they were trying to say with certain documents, I do however know what I believe to be fair, and that's what has gone so awry with this country. Nobody respects the other and thinks their beliefs are superior to everyone else's.
Well that and the lottery, which is over $250 Million for the drawing tonight, I gots my numbers!!!
it means southern pride and a reminder to always stand up for something that you dont believe is right.
i cant really imagine the world today if the south had won, who knows what would be going on. i bet we wouldnt have nascar races cause moonshine would have never been illegal.
jesse jackson, al sharpton and the entire naacp would have you believe that the war was fought solely for slavery and that people who fly the flag hate blacks just as all southerners did before and during the war. they just want people to give them money so they can go on tv and tell don imus he is a racist and that south carolina cant fly the confederate flag on the capital.
i had several relatives serve in north carolina regiments during the war of northern aggression, i have seen roll call sheets, pictures and tombstones. i'll fly the flag if i feel like and if you have a problem with it, i dont really give a shit.
however, the KKK and white supremacists have given the flag a bad rep and i dont think that will ever change....the confederacy will always be looked upon as the guys that fought a war just so they could have slaves.
