How many people are coming? Im still hoping my son wants to go "mudding with dad" for his b-day. At least he helps me work on the rc truck.

dang, i really wanted to see the turbo 4.0L in action... how far away you live?

maybe you could sneak down for an hour or two?

9:30 it is...

I should be getting some money by then so it should be fine. i changed one of my radius arm bushings, still have one to do and damn those things are a PITA. the word is i'll be getting a manual t-case and hubs the end of the week so i'll have that installed as well.

well the party dosent quite start until 1-3 iash so maybe where is the meeting spot again?

We're meeting in in the Safeway parking lot in Belfair at 9:30 (as you've probably read).

When you head into Belfair from Bremerton, you will start going down a hill which drops right into to Belfair. The Safeway is on your right. If you miss the Safeway, you somehow are either on the wrong road, or should be legally blind...

tys87ranger, thats a cool picture! Hope you can make it. And cool crawler by the way, the Boggers are nice!

I'd say the group would getting big, but that would be hypicritical, lol, my cousin is going. So It's fine with me, don't know about everybody else.

Sunk, how's the 4.0L swap coming along?

Ty (assuming Ty is your name), added you to the list.
Turbo Cat, I added you to the "possibly going" column.
And, I move my buddy casey to possibly going, too.

He got pulled over since I talked to him last for not having a "legal" front bumper (all he had was a bruch gaurd I think), no rear bumper, no flares, and no front or rear mud flaps.. He said he got the mud flaps part taken care of, so if he has the other parts done by then, and can get the day off (saturdays are real busy at wrecking yards), then he'll come, but he didn't sound too hopefull.

I'm not sure I'm doing the swap.. I'd rather get a Explorer but we'll see. I may have the truck there with the weak 2.9, we'll see. If not I'm pretty sure I can get one (or more) of my buddies to go. I'll be there.

sounds like i might be picking up my manual transfer case this weekend! and i'm going to a mud bog as well! should be fun!

I should be able to go. I need to test out my new front axle and extended radius arms.

Dogboy, I can't believe casey got pulled over in the choptop. That thing is the epitome of street legal. :icon_rofl:

We got alot more done on my dads ranger this weekend. Just need to finish up the exo, and slap the rear drums on. I might end up stripping a leaf out of the rear too.

I'm hoping that the autohubs are going to work, but we'll see. I need to pull them apart and weld them up for now, but I'm not sure if I'll get them done by the meet. I was wondering about maybe sleeving the hub itself too, just to strengthen the shell. :icon_idea:

It looks like my dad will either be renting a trailer, or driving the ranger.

Well it doesnt look like I will be going in the bronco2:annoyed:
But it does sound like my bro and dad want to go so we might show up in 2 jeeps so we will see if they can get it off

Cool!! If you rent a trailer form Uhaul, don't tell them a Ranger is going on it, say your loading something like a Focus, or a Carolla etc.
When we went to haul my Ranger when I got it, I called two Uhaul places and both said they would not let us put a Ranger on thier trailer.. Even though it looks plenty strong.

Casey is not allowed in Elbe, or Eatonville in that Ranger anymore.. He got pulled over in both and both cops told him to never come back in that truck I guess, lol. It's a rolling nightmare.

Just curius, who all is trailering thier rigs there?
The day use parking lot was basicly full at 10:30 yesterday (my dad, bro, friend and I went and rode motorcycles yesterday). Or, the area in the center where you can park trailers was anyway, but the gravel area by the main road only had one rig in it.

Those new hill climbs are NASTY!!! Especially "Anarchy Hill". That thing is for compition tube buggies only, I swear. You guys will understand why when you get there. It would be a challeging hill climb on a motorcycle, let alone a 4 wheel drive!

Cool, can't wait to try it out. :icon_twisted:

As far as the trailer thing goes, I've rented from U-haul a couple times before I built mine, and you have to be very selective about what you tell them. The biggest problem they are trying to avoid is you blowing up your tow rig. If you tell them you're hauling something like a ranger, they probably won't let you out of the yard with anything less than a one ton. If you tell them you're hauling a little (emphasize the little part to them) Datsun 510, I've rented a trailer with my old f150.

And unless my dad decides to just make the drive, we will both be trailering, but worse comes to worse, I know a couple sneaky spots to park.

loanranger, i have 2 extra d28 auto hubs i take with me wheelin you can use if you break one, if that helps any

its nice they are concerned about your tow rig, probably just a liability thing though
