So I plan on building a turbo 2.3l I'm trying to figure out what the best route to go it, aftermarket pistons on Form turbo OEM? What have you guys done? Also I'm hoping for a 8.0-8.5 compression ratio!

I would recommend keeping factory turbo pistons if you can, and you should be able to.

When I built the engine for my old Thunderbird I used a 125,000 mile engine out of an '84 Turbo Coupe and all I did was have the block hot tanked and honed and put in new rings.

One issue with replacing pistons is that some of the ones that say they are for the turbo engine, aren't actually forged, and the forged ones aren't cheap. The factory ones will take a lot of abuse and that's what most guys run.
