I’m looking to do a coilover conversion (the one from rickrangerz) with my 98 4x4. I’ve looked on here for hours but can’t find what coilovers to use, the how-to had the part numbers for some 2.0 fox shocks but after some digging I think they discontinued them. I’m looking for some kings or Bilstine but not sure what ones will fit, any help is appreciated.

@MaicoDoug might have some information to share...

I'd probably recommend reaching out to Rick. His site is geared towards lowered trucks, but he knows the suspension stuff and deals with some lift stuff too. As far as the coil over is concerned the only difference is length (or travel) and vehicle weight. He only lists them for the lowered, but can probably point you in the right direction for lifted too.

My "Yellow Submarine" link.

This a TRS link where most of the posts are describing how & what I used for the front coilover 2" lift. If you have any further questions please post them there or here. BTW, this is for Fox's 2.0 coilover that they have just updated, however plenty of stock is still available. The spring is denoted as a 2.5 inch which fits the 2.0 inch shock body. Kartek is also a very valuable resource, as their truck desk is pretty good. You will need to beef up the shock towers with a small amount of added gussets, move the brake line 2 inches forward, set the upper shock mounts at the very top of the tower, or the attachment bolts will be in shear (your call if or not). Elect for a 90 degree extension reservoir line, and fab up some reservoir mounts, had to cut the Fox mounts in half as seen in my pictures. -Good luck!
