I replaced the spark plugs and plug wires in my 93 Ford Ranger 4x4, 4.0, 6 cylinder, and the engine seems to be misfiring while idling. It didn't do it before I changed the plugs and wires

It seems to be every few seconds, the engine seems to just drop off.

It doesn't seem to suffer the same thing under load. And there's no (apparent) backfire.

I tried fancy-pants e3 plugs at my first plug change and had misfire problems. Read the forum here and learned that motorcraft are the preferred plug. Switched to motorcraft and no more "miss".

Double check your wires. Bank 2 is usually the problem side, because it does 4 6 5, and that throws off a LOT of people.

Yes, +1 ^^^

Your firing order is off

Coil pack
3 4
2 6
1 5
Front

The 5 6 4 side always gets miswired, do one wire at a time and follow it from plug to coil pack
