v8 swap w/ TKO-600

Hey guys. Has anyone done this in a 98+ Ranger? What kind of placement issues do I need to worry about? Its also 4wd and id like to keep it that way. Any advice on a good transfer case along with this trans?

I think you would have to run a divorced transfer case with that trans.

do you know of any transmissions that could handle the abuse of offroad racing behind a 347 that are married transfer case?

I'm not a big 4x4 offroad type person. All the HD truck transmissions and transfer cases available . . I wouldn't be the person to ask. I know here my expertise is and isn't A 347, I do know about. Where that is going to be torquey for a SB, it should not be a problem for the HD transmissions that came in the fullsize trucks. Not a problem at all. But someone else will have to steer you to the best choice.

What is a TKO600 Trans… ?
Not familiar with it.

For fitment, consider measuring the existing engine trans from the motor mounting position and compare to this TKO600 and add on for the T/C, then compare for trans mount and driveshaft length.

On replacement Trans and T/C, what the budget look like ? (don’t need an answer)
If short on cash start looking for swap info and determine the best fit but if funding is available then consider after market used or new, a lot of good stuff out there and adaptable to most anything.
