There should be a tag on it somewhere that says what kind it is.

Since I got the timing cover and water pump off, I am going to replace the water pump. What year can I buy a pump for that will be a reverse rotation. Most I have looked at have been standard.?

Well it seems one from a 86 mustang is reverse rotation. Not much else to add, havent had time or space to do anything . I did pick up a clutch set, water pump and flywheel for $150 :headbang:. I now need to get the engine to a machine shop to get the water pump bolt extracted :annoyed:

I was happy that I didnt have any problems with bolts breaking off for the water pump setup...but now I have to figure out where the coolant leak is coming from...

I think it is a borg warner 4406, I don't think it will fit. But I got it for $50 so if I can sell it for always that amount I would be happy.

I wish I was closer. I'd love to have one of those for a spare.

My 91 f-150 block is counter clock wise rotation.

My friend i bought it from didnt know about it so its been there for awhile :annoyed:

I must have been slow that day, i looked through water pumps for like an hour and i swear none of them said reverse rotation :icon_twisted:

You could hop on summit and start looking up the year motor you have then search through the water pumps on there. They say in the description whether it's clock wise or not.

Yeah I do that when ever I look for parts, I already bought one so its all good. Now I need a block separator plate, the thing that goes behind the flywheel and locates the starter.

Oh ok good deal! I always forget to put that plate back on ha ha.

Been there done that. For my flywheel and clutch on and relaxed that I forgot to put it on.

I got a starter from the junkyard, i bought the first one, which cost $28, which is alot more than i thought it would. Took it to get it test and it was seized :annoyed:. So i took it back and the junkyard doesnt do refunds :annoyed:, but i got a credit for future visits. Went to the other yard and found one from a 95 bronco, it was a factory ford one and it test good :headbang:

I am little upset the black plate is scratched up, for $45 it should be packed better than it was.

Now i just need a garage :annoyed:

OK so, does anyone know the dimensions of an np208 and bw4406. I went to the junkyard and pulled an np208, and it was physically larger than a bw4406 that was laying an isle over .

They wanted $100 for it so I said screw it.

Its length that matters but also its clock position too. I got my np208 to just fit, I may have needed to cut an ear off it but didnt.
