Twister 85 B2 Build

Looks like it will. I just bought all my adaptors seperatly due it kept the cost down and Im going to be running an oil cooler so the line they give with the kit wont be enough anyways.

I dont shop JEGs, I go with Summit...why Im not exactly sure other then alot of stuff on Summit cost a bit less.

I usually only look at summit, but was trying to find a way to get the cos down on the oil relocation, ordering the one from jegs would drop the cost from $85 to $60.

Ordered oil filter relocation kit, now to get motor mounts and transfer case :yahoo:

Dont forget about driveshafts. I got a rear one and Im going to attempt to shorten it myself.

But what driveshaft you get depends on the transfercase you get too. I kept ford with ford.

I haven't, i've been looking into what people use for them, i just need motor mounts and i can set the engine in the truck.

There is still a bunch of stuff i need to figure out, like FEAD and the fuel system.

And how to spell! :icon_rofl: FEED

Keep up the good work bud. 'Scribed.

Don't worry about the shaft length much until you get everything in the truck. There is no way to know what you are going to need until you need it.

Front
Engine
Accessory
Drive

Try to keep up with the acronyms. :icon_thumby:

Lol damn beer. I thought it said "feed the fuel system" :icon_confused:

Did I mention I can count to Potato?...

I took my current drive shaft length and knowing that my setup will need a shorter, I found one that is longer then what I have now. I'll shorten mine when everything is on the truck.

Danger- I went with serpentine belt cuz it ended up being around 1 1/2 inches shorter than the V-belt set up I found. And I would of have had to change the timing chain cover to go V belt cuz of the water pump rotation. And I used a fan, clutch off a early 80's F-150. It works great so far. Havnt gotten to put the truck under a load or wheel it yet but hopefully that will change Friday.

Forefoot in a total of 3 weeks I will know what it's like to drive a v8 ranger and own my first v8 powered vehicle.

What vehicle did you snag that setup from?

I absolutly love the filter mount, you have no idea how many hours I spent on Summit and Jegs trying to find one with the ports like that. :annoyed:

One word of warning on the block adaptor, that thing is thick. Watch it for clearance when you set the engine in there and for sure get the socket style plugs (they take an allen bit/wrench) Mine is pretty tight and it is quite a bit thinner, it is close enough I would try it but for sure watch it.

Yeah i am a little worried about it not fitting, it didn't look as thick in the pics as it does it real life. If it doesn't fit ill just send it back. IT also came with the plugs, there is a bag of hardware i didn't take a pic off.

If i have to order the low profile adapter, it will come out even cheaper than ordering the two trans-dapt pieces, so i think i am sitting pretty good :icon_thumby:
