Well i measured the adapter, from the mating surface to the top, it measures 1 1/2 inchs, the trans dapt one measures 1 3/8 inch. The perma-cool ones looks to be the same as the trans dapt one.

Will this work for putting the shifter in the right location on my 94 m5od-r2?

I think so but you will probably need more than just the plate, like at least the shifter too.
Twister- Up to 85 they had a 30oz (not 100% sure on the actual weight but it is lighter than the 50oz) weighted flywheel or pressure plate. 85 and later it was a 50oz weighted flywheel/pressure plate. Then some manual tran's took a diff tooth count flywheel. A t-18, NP435, ZF-5 took a 164 tooth while a M5OD used a smaller one with 154 tooth (I beleive it was 154 I'm not 100% on the count but it is 150 somethin).
Twister- Up to 81 they had a 28oz (not 100% sure on the actual weight but it is lighter than the 50oz) weighted flywheel or pressure plate. 81 and later it was a 50oz weighted flywheel/pressure plate. Then some manual tran's took a diff tooth count flywheel. A t-18, NP435, ZF-5 took a 164 tooth while a M5OD used a smaller one with 157 tooth (I beleive it was 154 I'm not 100% on the count but it is 150 somethin).
Got some manifolds from 85_ranger4x4 (sorry about being short and not very talkative, im am bad at buying things from people lol)
Fixed it for you.
They changed the balance when they went to the one piece rear seal in '81. I don't know what the M5OD used for a ring gear but the options are 164 or 157.
Don't worry about it, it was hot out anyway.![]()
