Turbo truggy

Dam thats going to be sic

What size tubing are you using to mount the fenders and stuff too

I got sidetracked with a 5k run this morning and a few side jobs this afternoon. I did get a couple tubes fitted and tacked in place, but I spent most of the night moving the front axle around and seeing where it’s going to fit.

I found I can get away without moving the axle as far forward as I had planned, but I won’t be able to mount my steering ram high or it will hit my crank pulley. I think I’m going to end up with a ride height of 21” with 5” of uptravel in the front. I’m running 16” ORI’s so I’ll have 11” of droop. I think that will work.

I got a metal fragment in my eye, so I’m sidelined for a few days. At least it will give me time to decide between interior or exo on the cab portion of my cage.

That sucks. Maybe Jim can make you an eye patch with the TRS logo.

Eye is fixed. I ordered an eye magnet from amazon so I’m prepared next time.

Eye magnet? Never heard of such a thing, have to ask my wife about that. Glad your eye is better though.

I haven’t gotten too much lately. I was busy rebuilding a gear reduction box for a large excavator.

I did get started on the link tower for my front axle. Since this is a low center of gravity build, this has to be as low profile as possible.

You buy that plate or bend it yourself?

Is it a bought brake or something you've built?

2 piece shaft is often the best way, casey cravens had a setup that was killer with a solid pillowblock made from a few explorer driveshafts.

its something I am sure I will have to do when I start wheeling rated trails again.
