On May 3rd 2018, Forum moderator Will's Ford Ranger was struck in the rear by another vehicle, that pushed him head on in to the path of an oncoming Semi truck.

According to Will;

I was never scared. Once the car that hit me pointed me into the grill of the semi I started cursing and drove that bitch flaming into the runway. I felt the WHACK and then I was climbing out of the passenger door. A couple guys helped me to the ground.

Every responder, nurse and doctor keeps telling me that nobody survives a direct head-on with a semi. I'm all phawked up, but I'm crutching myself along 48 hours later.

He suffered 8-broken bones. It's incredible that he was climbing out of that mess on his own. One tough SOB. ;)

The crash exploded the Superwinch on the front of the truck in to pieces parts. It wasn't that long ago that he put this truck together. I'm sure he'll build another when he's healed.

Will has been a member here for most of the forums existence. We wish him well and a speedy recovering.

When the great spirit is with US

My feeling is, ...when things like this happen...was it to stop us from even more dire straights?!? ...Glass half full Man !..Sure you lost your ride and all of the HARD work put into ...BUT ...you are ALIVE! ...What that means is, getting the smoke from all of this cleared and planning and gearing up for your NEW project ,...whether it is another vehicle ...OR something else...Speedy recovery is what is being wished to you here:icon_welder:

Glad to see everyone is ok. Cars and trucks can be replaced.

Thanks for the well-wishing.

If anyone in Missouri finds my Yellow-top Optima can you mail it back?

OK, that made me laugh out loud :icon_rofl: (for those that don't get it, he's in Indiana). Not many people can get hit head on by a big ass truck like that and make jokes.

Really happy you’re doing ok will! Please let us know if we can do anything?

Wow! Thank goodness for air bags and crumple zones.

Glad to see he made it out alive.

Thank God you survived this. That little Ranger sure showed that big bad truck! Prayers for fast healing.

Glad you are still around, I don't think that one is going to buff out though.

Glad you're doing OK !! Pain is temporary, broken bones heal and chicks dig scars ;-) Looks like you really eff'ed up that semi !!!! Take it easy and get better.

Sorry to read about the injuries.
Amazing to read about your escape from what could have been a much worse outcome.

Best wishes for a fast recovery Will

Damn son!
