Hey guys, first time poster here!
I’ve got a 1999 Ranger, 2WD with the 3.0.
Stock tire size was 225/70R15 on the factory wheels. My original steel wheels are pretty rough, so I picked up a really clean set of aluminum wheels from my neighbor, they're brand new.
They’re the correct bolt pattern and still 15s, but they’re staggered:
2 wheels are 15x7
2 wheels are 15x8
0mm offset
I’ve never dealt with a staggered setup before, so I’m not sure what tire sizes I should be running. Or what I should even look for.
what I’ve read, I know the main thing is keeping the overall tire diameter close so it doesn’t mess with speedometer or handling.
My main question:
If I do go with these staggered wheels and staggered tires, what tire combo (front and back) would work and keep my diameter close to stock?
Would love to hear about and see other people's similar Ranger set ups!
Also this is my daily driver, I really want it to look good and drive right.
I really appreciate any help
P.s. I've also got a 95 2wd Ranger with the 3.0/5spd. Its got 14 inch wheels. Thrown around the idea of putting these wheels on it instead. So any info on that would also be appreciated, if not the same. Thank you, again!
