Time for a restore......again.

Nice! That will make it easy. I had a ton of time into figuring out how to mount all that stuff.

This time around I am going to keep her in the garage during the winter months. Three times is enough, and it is getting harder to find rust-free parts. No more year around driving!

I got all of the stuff swapped over so the '88 interior can be put in. I also resealed the inside of the cab. I will start putting stuff back in this week!

Time for a restore......again.

I got the heater box in and now I am fitting everything in before I paint the metal part of the dash. I painted it black last time and now I am painting it back to blue again.

Time for a restore......again.

I am blown away by how capable you two are. How did you ever learn to do so much? You are in a league of your own. Your day job must be rocket scientist.

It has been slow going but I keep plugging away. The brake lines finally came in but they sent me the wrong ones. I waited six weeks to get them so I fully expect to wait another six weeks before I get the correct set. I have been hampered with wiring problems. Everything worked when I took the harnesses out but they were in bad shape. I put everything back in and now I can't get the headlights or anything in the interior to work. No blower, no dash lights, nothing. I do hear the relays click when I turn the key on but that is it. When I turn the headlights on the "check oil" light comes on. I have been working on this for a couple of days and I just can't figure it out. I have one plug that comes out of the firewall that connects to another harness in the engine compartment. The connectors are gone and I figured out all but two wires. I can't figure out where they go or what they connect to. I am going to post my problems in the tech section and hope someone can give me some help.

Still waiting to hear from the brake line place. They should have sent me a label to ship the lines back but they have been slow on everything they have done since I placed my order. I found another wiring harness so I am going to install that this weekend. I hope that remedies the wiring problems. I don't want to do anymore to the body until I know everything works. It is so close to looking like a truck again! I just need to get these couple of hurdles out of the way and I can really get moving on her again.

I can't believe how long it has been since my last update. The cab is now on the frame, but I've encountered an electrical problem that has frustrated me to the point where the truck has been sitting in my garage for almost five years. I really want to finish it, but electrical work is not my strong suit. I would love to find a wiring harness for this truck, but so far, I haven't had any luck. Everything I have found has been poorly modified. Until I can figure out the electrical issues, the truck will remain in the garage.

Although I have had the truck a long time, it was put through the wringer before I got it. The wiring harness in the engine compartment was cut and spliced multiple times with multiple colors of wire. When I replaced the cab, I thought I had everything marked, but there are wires that I have no idea where they go or what they connect to. Now, when I hook the battery up, the oil light comes on in the dashboard. I know I have something wrong, but wiring is frustrating for me. I bought original Ford wiring schematics to use to chase these problems down, but they do not match the wiring I have in my truck. If you go back through my thread, I believe that I posted pictures of the wiring I am talking about. Here is the link to my thread about the wiring. Wiring Help Needed
