Back end is a pickup box trailer and the cab is a doghouse in someone's front yard. :icon_thumby:

I read this yesterday. Tragic

The part about Orkin switching their fleet to Tacomas echoed what happened to a lot of our long time Ranger customers. I hope the knucklehead who decided to end Ranger production is unemployed and sleeping in a card board box. Toyota and Nissan should have sent Ford thank you cards.

Ford never really appreciated the Ford Ranger in North America. It was something they offered in response to the competition. And Ford didn't keep it updated and give it the love they gave the F-150. I think Ford thought Ranger consumers would just buy F-150's. They were wrong. The Ranger eventually came back as a response to the competition.

The new Ranger is much nicer than the previous generations, but this is basically the truck that is sold everywhere else in the world. This truck had to compete and evolve, when the North American Ranger was basically neglected. The new Ranger has finally caught up to where it needs to be. And even this current platform is dated. Yes, they had to make some changes to accept the EcoBoost and 10-speed setup, and of course add a steel front bumper. There are some differences between the North American Ranger and Global Ranger, but it's still the same basic Global design.

I feel like Ford has realized the potential in this truck, and take it more seriously than they did in the past, so we'll see.
