Go to last post

Is there a setting to go to last post of a thread? I have to open the thread, then go to the bottom of thenfirst page and hit the double arrow for last page. I looked and probably missed the setting.

I normally base my viewing from the "whats new" page. From there, if I click on the part of the thread title that says "X minutes ago", it takes me to the first new entry since the last time I viewed that thread.

I would enjoy having the page selection options at the top of the page as well as the bottom. Not sure how difficult that is in this forum software.

There is a setting in your preferences for it. I forget the proper name. It may be in the display sorting option. Such as newest to oldest or oldest to newest.

If I get a chance to look at it on my computer, I might be able to help better narrow it down.

I was thinking of this same thing. It would be handy to have a go to last post of thread option at the top. Especially when I'm searching for a specific thread, or when I'm posting a spam address in the spam thread.

I looked in the preferences and account settings, something I really haven't done since I joined the forum, the options for what you are looking for are not there now unless I'm over looking something. So, my findings are matching to what you are seeing. Maybe it's a software thing or it's setting thing that only an admin or Jim can address?

I do what the Curious fella does... works every single time.

I happened onto it by accident... been doing it that way since. You have to be careful though... if there are 4 posts you haven't viewed... this way skips directly to the last post.

Are you talking about doing this on your phone or a computer?

On your computer there is page navigation at the top left of the page (as long as there is more than one page) and you can click on the last page from there.

Apparently, it doesn't show on the mobile pages, so I just added it.

If your looking at a list of threads in the forum, clicking the dat / time stamp next to the last poster will take you to the last post.

I saw that after you mentioned it. But it seems to be only at the top of this page. No others. And clicking on it doesn’t seem to do anything.

I'm on mobile. There is now a "go to last page" at the top same as on the bottom. That helps a lot. But doesn't take me to last post. Good enough for me...

I have to update the forum software this summer because the current software won't work with the current php versions that are available. Maybe the newest version will have that option. Or there may be a plugin to add it.

Thanks Jim, I'll try it out and mostly use mobile.
