Were those the new MTRs or the old ones?

The old ones were really popular but the sidewalls were like paper thin. New style is really thick, I've been running them for about 10 years on my crawler and love em. Everyone had them for a short period of time and now nobody does.

Everything else from Goodyear is junk.
The first set I had that spun around on the wheels were the old original MT/Rs (33x12.50R15). They were out of round, but not intolerably so. They were also waaayy small (like 32¼" diameter small).
The 2nd set were the MT/R-Kevlar (35x12.50R15). They started out smooth, but as the miles accrued, they got progressively worse & worse. By the time I took them back after maybe 12K miles, the coins in the ashtray were audibly rattling @ 65 MPH (actually everything in the whole truck was rattling). All 4 tires were 1/8" - 1/4" out of round, and one had a discontinuity on the inside bead area (like a wobble in the bead, for lack of another way to put it). On a crawler you probably would never notice it. I actually had zero complaints about the tires offroad, but onroad was a whole 'nother issue.

Add Kenda, I’ve run their first gen MT and now their RT on my ranger. Pleased with both but really thrilled about the RT. They come in good sizes like 33x10.5x15, are under $1k for a set, balanced easy, quiet, show virtually no wear at just over 5k miles, and clean out mud like their mt.

I had a set of Dayton A/T tires on my 98 that were amazing. Also those N Perez 120 dollars for all 4 lasted a long time on the 5.0 swap truck.
