tfi remote mounting procedure questions

so im doing a remote mount procedure for my new tfi to prevent the heat from ruining it and i got 2 questions:
1. does the new tfi have to be mounted to a metal area?

2. when making my harness, do i have to salvage the foil ford uses, or can i use everyday aluminum foil to protect against interferance?

The tfi needs to be mounted to a decent heat sink, bigger the better.


I did not use shielded wire when I did mine and it was not a problem. You could use foil as a shield but you would have to ground it at one end to make it effective.
