im right along with you. I want model numbers too as im HIGHLY doubting those subs are true 1400 watts. ive never seen pionerr shallows take that much power. im thinking thats the MAX power not RMS.

lol all of those numbers are max. hes pushing around 300x2 out of that amp. and thats right along with those subs. so it works. but notthing near what the max is

Pioneer makes two different shallow mount subs. One type has the regular type round surround and the other has the acordian style surround. The acordian style shallow mount are very power hungrey and the max on the 12's is 1400 and they can handle the 1400 all day long. They are a good speaker in my opinion but I dont like the other type shallow mount with the regular surround. They dont sound nearly as clean or hit has hard as the acordian one. Just my opinion.

idk what specific speaker you have.... but the new shallow mount specs are 1500 watts max and 400Wrms

sooooooo ill make you a deal

ill bring all the stuff (amps and wires) to run your 12'' with a true 1400WRMS amp. well hook it up. and drive around town at ummmm 80% full till. (if you have two ill bring two amps so you can have 1400WRMS to each one.)

if your subs last an hour at 80% ill give you all the amps ect to you and replace the wasted gas.

if they blow up. which they will. you have to buy the amps from me. replace my gas. and let me hit in you in the balls with a half inch ratchet

let me know when its best for you

Haha, well if you read it right I never said that I owned them. My sub is an Audiobahn and I know for a fact that it wont handle anywhere close to 1400. I was just giving my opinion on the two different shallows that pioneer make (or the only two that I know of). My uncle is running 3 of the round surround shallows and they sound like crap. they all share 1000watts and cant handle it. The acordian style surround that I said I liked, I have heard in two seperate f-150's and really liked the sound in both of those. Granted they were both running 8's. Now when I referred to the 12" with the acordian surround, they can handle their peak power. Why do I know this? A truck driver buddy of mine is running one in his Peterbuilt and is running a 1600w xplode to it bridged. His gain is set 2 notches from max and he has been running it that way for going on 2 years. I have never owned any of them personally. I am just going off of what I know I have seen, heard and experienced.

1600w xplode to it bridged.

another hunk of shit not putting out any were close to what it says. 900wrms @ 2 ohm. (class D) but i dont even bet my life on it putting out 600wrms at 2 ohms. and thats if he as the 2 ohm. at 4 ohm it down to 500 ish. but its asking for a max of 16v incoming which youll never get.

Well that may be. Like I said before and again, I have never owned one or hooked one up. All I can go off of is what I have been told by people running them. I dont know too much about what an amp is vs what it says it is, but it is an interesting topic which I think I will start looking into. I am also looking for a different amp for my Ranger. One which I can run my sub plus my mids and highs off of. You seem to know alot more about this area than I do, so do you have any suggestions? At the moment I am running a 12" audiobahn which says its a max of 500(will be switching over to two MA Audio 8's here soon, 6.5 pioneer 4-ways in my doors which say they are 320max, and will be rigging two 4x6 pioneers in the back.

Here is a short clip of one of the 8's. I got bored and decided to mount it to a peice of plexy glass I had and see how she sounded in the big box. (Plexy glass is a b***h if you have never worked with it like I havn't)

First rule in caraudio: NEVER PAY ATTENTION TO MAX RATINGS!!!!

RMS is the only thing that matters.
