heres what i came up with, im running 3 mtx road thunder 200w amps; the outer ones are bridged and each one feeds one of the 8" subs. the middle amp feeds power to 4 mtx thunder 6x8s that i have in the doors and above the jump seats. its loud enough inside the cab that you cant hear a word the passenger is saying to you, yet out side the cab you dont hear any bass, just the high frequencies.

Thats purdy clean. Looks good and I like the way you turned your jumpers into boxes. From readying this forum a while back I was under the impression that you was just going to cut the holes in the jump seats and call it good....dont know why I came to that conclusion but I did lol. Looks real good. how she sound?

yeah, i got flamed pretty hard the first time i posted in here so i figured id post up the finished product. heres a link to the thread where i posted the build pics http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74314
it sounds real good and has lots of bass in the cab but because of the small size of the subs you cant hear them outside so im not broadcasting to everyone that my truck is stuffed full of audio equipment. im happy with the way everything turned out, except i blew those pyramids on friday (go figure, but they were only $8 a piece so in not heart broken) so im waiting for 2 new JL 8w1v2-4 with to arrive with grills so i can put them in. for now im running this set up, a kenwood KFC w2002 8" in a q-logic band pass box. it also sounds good, just takes up more space than i want.

Those JLs should sound better...and i too was under he impression you were just cutting holes out and no box....turned out LOADS better than i invisioned...the amps look CLEAN on that back wall.....How come you didnt just go with a Kicker 5 channel or a sub amp and a 4 channel?

i used the MTX amps because i was able to get all 3 of them for under $100 and they had enough power for the setup i was looking for. i didnt plan on spending as much as i actually ended up spending (around $400 total), but because i didnt buy new subs when i was buying other components i now have to go back and do it again. but i know more now after setting all of this up and working through the problems i had, so my decision on the new subs will be a much more informed one than i would have had previously.

That's understandable. Wish I only would have 100 in my amps. I have about 350 in mine. And around 1500 in my whole setup.

ill have to get pics up here soon got the 2002 edge a while back since ive got it i put in a pioneer super tuner 3 old school cd player. infinity 5x7s in the front doors. unhooked the factory speakers in the rear doors. got some cheap linening audio 6x9s in boxes powered by a litening audio 960 watt 4 channel amp. i kno its cheap but it works for powering my 6x9s which will soon be replaced. ive got two powerbass 12s in a ported box ran by a sony 1000 watt class d which suprised me but it will eventually be replaced with a memphis pr 500.1

Well guys im new to the ford ranger forums, im a 17 year old kid and i just spent all the money i have ever made on an 03 ford ranger. I got the truck from a mechanic for 2300 because it wasnt iddiling(?) right and my next door neighbor is a mechanic and he fixed it and now it runs great. As far as my audio in it goes i have 400$ in it, i dont have any subs or amps just nitro door speakers and nitro 2 way 6 by 9s behind the seat, this set up is actually what my dad wanted he didn't want me to be bumpin yet but it still hits pretty hard and sounds good, and it included a pioneer in dash.

my setup:

2-12" Kenwood KFC W3012 subs

1- Total Mobile Audio 400 Watt amp

1- Dual 320 watt amp (for rears and fronts)

1- Alpine CDA-9846 CD/MP3 player

They pound hard for being as cheap as they were. Ears hurt after a while lol. The box is custom, and the subs are downfired for protection from the elements and prying eyes. The cover closes over the top of the box too. Sorry for the crappy pics. truck is a lil dirty to. Been remodeling lol.

sorry dude, i was just kidding but i guess its hard to tell on the internet. i was just hoping it would make you put pics up faster. all you need to do is make a photo bucket account and load your pics on to the site from your camera or PC and then it will give you an image link you can click and paste into your post.

my bad man i was half drunk lol i got a camera but i cant get it to hold a charge and i gotta use my moms comp cuz im poor oilfield trash. ill try to get pics up tonite.
