- My credo
- WHY DO I KEEP BUYING DODGES?!?!?
Well, my Ranger is running like crud again. I went out to my parents and was leaving when the truck started idled really rough, like bouncing between 400rpm-1100rpm. This was after sitting long enough to nearly cool al the way down. It's not misfiring or shuddering like when I had an injector go out a few months back. This just feels like a lack of power and like I was revving it up and down. Pulling onto the highway to accelerate to 45 mph seemed about normal but it seemed unwilling to climb to 60mph. It's done this intermittently but it seemed to go away for a month or so after I replaced the cam position sensor. My plugs and wires have only 7k on them and I have a fresh oil change and air filter as well. I replaced the DPFE, EGR valve, and EGR solenoid when I did the plugs, so I'm going nuts on what this is. I don't recall ever having water in my gas so I can't say for sure it isn't that, or maybe some lousy E-85, since thats all I've used for the last 6 months. What could I be missing here? The fact it's so damned intermittent and random is infuriating because I don't know if it'll act up when I need is since it's my daily driver. Any ideas would be helpful at this point.
