Engine stumble when coming to a stop, while in gear.

what kind of RPMS do you see with it cold and hot... I have a little suspicion you tuned it down too low, 450 sounds awful low for any ranger especially the 3.0L... it is a higher RPM beast - it is just getting it's legs at the kinda RPMS where my flathead would start barfing up rods.

If you are talking idle? Cold is probably 1100-1200 and warm is I believe in the 800-900 range.
I think that 450 was when unplugging the IAC.

I'll dig into it more in a couple weeks. Just gathering information at this point.

Currently, it is running pretty decently, it is just these dang codes keep coming back... lol

I know you have done a lot of work and now spread over a couple threads... remind me, before anything was touched - no codes, and crank but no start that turned out to be fuel system (we wont embarrass you any more saying what fuel system...) Did you end up doing the filter in any of this? Have we checked pressure at all stages to make sure you don't have a marginal fuel pump problem?

I’m over the embarrassment part, well a little after the sting of it being out of fuel wore off… lol

The light has been on the whole time. Well, since before the fuel sending unit issue and the fuel filter was changed when we reinstalled the fuel tank and installed the plugs / wires / air filter.

My original fuel pressure tester was lost in transit. The new one arrived after I left for work. I’ll be checking that when I get home as well.

Figured I would at least drop in and update our thread.

Still fighting Fuel Mixture Imbalance and Cylinder 5 Misfire Detected issues. It has new plugs, plug wires, coil IAC Motor, all three O2 Sensors and a new cylinder 5 injector. I have smoke tested the intake and the exhaust, which yielded no leaks. I still need to run a compression test, but get distracted by other projects and duties :).

With my job, working to sell a different truck and my son starting a summer job, time to work on the Ranger is limited. Just surprised with the parts we’ve put on, that it’s still throwing the same codes. It is running better, so I’ll take that win.

I would do that compression test before spending another dime.

It would suck to spend another couple hundred on parts just to find out you have a bad valve/valve seat

Definitely will do that before dropping more money into it.
