A properly suspensioned Ranger can be safely airborne for up to 4 seconds at a time! =:O
I mean the normal shift lever seems to be hollow, lightweight, and straight up-and-down, i.e. not requiring much force to keep it in neutral... OTOH, the FX4 "bent" shift lever looks to be solid and hefty, and of course "torqued" to the rear due to the "crook" shape... will the lame OEM springs be able to center the beastly upgrade??

Yes, the shifter centering springs will keep the shift lever in the center gate position just fine.

Err, umm, haven't dived in with mah own two hands yet, but IIRC, from perusing The Tech Lib, "the centering springs" live in the shift-rail tubes... behind the infamously degradable rubber shift-rail PLUGS... oui/non?
