1989 ford ranger 4x4 2.9 liter. So was working on timing the truck the other day I pulled the spout connector and dropped in the tall grass. Could not find the little bugger. Want to make sure I replace it with the correct one for my truck. does anyone have the original ford part number or one that has been cross referenced. I also think it is called a shorting bar. I did go to some local wrecking yards with no luck. thanks Jim

There is no “wrong one”. They’re all the same. Go to a junkyard and pull one out of pretty much any late 80’s/ early 90’s Ford.
All it does is connect the 2 wires together.
