Rear end "Clunk"

I pulled the cover again and spun he gears. Spider gears are indeed worn. One is missing tooth all together. I cannot find it in there though. What now? Is it better to just put in an entire new rear from a junkyard or try and rebuild this one? I want to keep this as cheap as possible. Thoughts?

Junkyard rear would be cheapest, but ya never know.

It's almost 5 hours from you, but if your free one weekend, pullapart is in east cleveland and you can get a complete 8.8 explorer axle for about $100...hell of an upgrade for the price!!

The local junkyard wants $300 for a 7.5, but they don't have any with 3.73 gears...

I have another truck that I bought about 8 years ago sitting in a field. I am going to see what rear it has.

hit up some more yards and find an 8.8....nextel. done.
