Finally finished this cross-member(s). Sectioned the other side of the joining member, and made it removable as well. Then welded the section to the rear cross member and trussed it...just because I like to over build things
Then made templates, cut out the tabs, and welded them.
All bolted and in place. This thing is extremely sturdy.
Also note I got longer bolts in place to account for the support plate. In case anyone is wondering, the stock bolts are M10 x 35 mm, so I grabbed some M10 x 40 and added a washer.
Next on the list is to grab some tube, and get cracking on the cage process...
Only had a couple hours to mess with it, and took my time as I didnt want to waste the tube. Now that the main hoop is finished, the rest of the cross bars will be easy. Need to mock up fuel cell/rad/batteries/action packer and then run the rear extension tubes. Wait for updates on the weekend....
