Yeah, I took them off right after I took the picture.

There's some tree sap on there that I can't seem to get off. No idea at all where it came from.

Yeah.. I keep wondering if I'll be able to afford to keep it and fix it up like I want AND pay a loan on a little car for commuting. I'm not sure if that will work out, unfortunately.

If I sell it, it's all going down on the loan for a car. If I keep it, it's getting a re-done interior, 5spd, MAYBE a V8, some minor lift, 8.8 rear, 31's or 33's, trimmed rear fenders, and fiberglass fronts. Along with a custom bumper.

But.. it's a 90% chance that I will have to sell it.

yeah i know it sucks, tis coming up nicely, dont get to do things just for the rush too, take yout time to get a deep thinking about what to do, keeping it and be able to pay another car for DD could be done with if u could get a job i guess, hope u find a solution soon, and if u sell it, well...save some cash and get another ranger ASAP!! dont completely go away from here

Got a fix-it ticket today. God damn that pissed me off. Trooper was just looking for an excuse to write me a ticket so he pulled me over and walked around my truck inspecting it. Apparently he heard my "loud" exhaust and knew it had holes in it. My exhaust is only a fraction quieter now with the new muffler and it sounds like a pansy truck. No rumble.

I'll admit, it needed replacing. But he had no reason to pull me over. Just trying to fill that mysterious quota that everyone knows exists but most police deny. At least it only ended up costing me about 15 bucks. That's for 3 clamps and an 18" length of pipe. I already had the muffler, believe it or not it's off a block saw.

If you need a commuter why not just get a 4 banger ranger?

That's been suggested several times. I need something that gets 30mpg on average.

A 4 cyl ranger could only dream of achieving that at it's finest.

There's no such thing as quotas. That was a myth made up by cop haters. Obviously he did have a reason to pull you over. Anything louder than stock is a violation. And you admitted it, it needed to be replaced. Cops are normal people just like you. Some even appreciate custom built trucks. Give them a break, don't rip on em. They have a thankless job. If it weren't for criminals or traffic violations, they wouldn't be needed. But again, they're just doing the job they get paid to do.

I'm not ripping on cops. I'm related to about 10 of em. A couple are NYS Troopers themselves. Honestly, if my college plans for being an electrician fail I might take that route.

Besides, ripping on police officers in this forum would be stupid. The owner's a former Ohio State Trooper if I'm not mistaken.

Well in the town I work in they do have QUOTAS. I have been told this by many of the officers that come in to my station to do paper work and sleep(it amazing how boring on line training can be). That is what happens when the Fire st. is nicer than the Police St. Each Officer Needs to write apox 99 tickets a Month about 5 a day.

When I was younger, I received enough tickets to wall paper city hall. But I earned and deserved every one of them. Yeah I wasn't happy, but I paid em.

Went out and bought my Ranger some goodies for Graduation.

Air Filter, Spark plugs and wires, some JB weld for my oil pan leak (yeah I'm cheap), and I got a great deal on 5 quarts of oil and a filter. Only cost me 14 dollars. That's pretty good since Oil is 3 dollars a quart for the CHEAPEST they sell, I got the middle/higher up brand.

I'll probably get it all put on Sunday. I'd do it up tomorrow but I have graduation and my party.
