pour gas over the ground and light fire

move truck first :D

Cracked the differential cover. It's like.. fiberglass mixed with plastic or something. Ew.

Hopefully it will hold.. if not I'll slap on some new silicone and pray that it works.. if not.. then I'll have to wait even longer to get this in. I just had to drop $95 of money I'm not supposed to be spending for a new battery so I'm short on cash.

Still haven't gotten around to fixing that shock mount though.

Meh, I don't feel like messing with the cover. I didn't really want to put any money into this because I was going to buy a different one anyway.

I'm going to look for a full length (93+) axle with the gears I want. Then use this one to take care of the core charge. At least it will be put to use.

Until then, it's a spare.

Got my oil pan in the mail today, way faster than I expected.

If anyone needs a pan, genesisautoparts.com has a pretty decent feeling product for just $48, it came to around 60 with tax and shipping.

Anyway, I'm going to wait to put it on until I can get the money to do a tranny swap. I'll only need about 150 for that. Hopefully I'll get it done soon, the way it acts it's hurting my gas mileage, rear end, and engine. Plus I hate the lack of power I get from it slipping all the time.

I wish that would work, it would look AWESOME.

:D

I'll get a photo of my biohazard next time I'm home and dads at work. He has my old parking spot now. I got sick of my mom slamming her door into my truck when she gets out of the Racestar.

My other project has donated it's bed mat for my Ranger. I'll see how I like it, if I don't I'll sell it for a couple bucks. I just won't tell the people I sell it to that it was covered in dog crap and had small plants growing out of it.

I'm in the process of cleaning it right now. Just some good ol' dawn dish soap and a scrub brush.

lookin good koda! sure glad you ditched the bug gaurd and front valance! looks so much better!
lots ta do eh? hope you get a job soon so we can see the SAS v8 swap you should do. haha

No photos at the moment, but I went to swap oil pans this weekend and decided that it was too big of a job for me to do. I ended up JB welding it for the time being and it's stopped leaking for the most part. Still drips, but at least it doesn't pour out. I'll be fixing the pan when I have money (and get the Nissan road worthy) to have it done in a shop. I expect it to cost somewhere around the 300 dollar mark, maybe more.

I also cut the transmission line and patched it with about two feet of hose. I didn't know where the leak was but it looks like I got it. I also JB welded the leak on the power steering, no clue if I got it or not. I'll know mid day today when I go to the Chenango County Fair.

I've decided not to put in the bed mat. I'm going to lay it down on my other projects bed, since the Ranger already has a bed liner and the Nissan well.. it's bed is kinda wooden and splintery.

Also, I need new tires. I slid sideways in some light mud today. Not fun at all when your on a trail. I'm undecided on if I want to buy them now or later. A few more months and I'll be rockin my winter set anyway. I'll see how long I can make these last, if I switch them front to back. Should give me a few extra miles.

Bald tire tickets are basically fix-it tickets right?

Found a picture on the camera of the truck from when I had it up on blocks to get to the trans line, oil pan, etc.

Looks dangerous eh? It was solid though, I even threw some jackstands under it for an extra precaution.. yes, I know they aren't touching.

^^^ All I could do was laugh about the jack stands not touching when I read it. I'm glad I have a concreate drive way to work on. Sorry for the rest of you that dont and have to work in the dirt. It looks solid but unsafe but not everything was built was done on a solid surface with safe set-up. Just dont get hurt!!!!
