Hey All,

On my 96 Ranger, I'm having a sudden problem with my hazard lights and right blinker when I apply the brakes. Everything works fine when the brakes are not applied. However, when I do apply the brakes, the right blinker is solid on both front and rear. The left side is fine when I apply the brakes. Also, when I have my hazard lights on and apply the brakes they stop blinking and turn solid also. Like I said, when the brakes aren't applied all the lights are flashing normal. Any suggestions?

Thanks

When you have your hazerds on and you push the brake it's normal for them to stop flashing. For the other problem, if you have a trailer connecter, check the wiring on that, they tend to get corroded and cause all kind of weird problems.

On a '96, you'll have the signal/hazard bulbs separate from the brake bulbs. So...stepping on your brake should have no effect on the hazards or signals. Check for loose grounds or anything corroded.

Like martin said though, do you have wiring for a trailer? Did you do the install yourself? There should be a small box that converts combines the signal and brake lights on the trailer only....check for this box, if you don't have one, then you should.
