post your deal of a lifetime

Buddy sold me a 92 ranger for $150 with a bad tranny, swapped a 5spd in and drove it for a year.

Paid $150 for my 95 jeep grand cherokee, sat for 5 years, needed a fuel pump, radiator, transfer case, and of course a tune-up, been driving it for over a year now.

I got a 1995 mazda b2300 with 48k original miles in perfect condition for 1500. Best deal I've got by a long shot

My 06 fx4 level II is the best deal I've gotten to date.

Paid 11K for it, only had 50,000 miles on it.
And I'm in Canada. The land of expensive cars.
It's book value was 17K.

Gotta love small used car lots where the owner doesn't always know what he's got.

Got this from work for $800 after it was traded in with a 7.5 rear end with blown up spider gears.

I put the lift from my old truck into it and threw on some 33's I traded some parts for.

i just traded my 2 year old 10k mile 35x12.5-15 BFG KM2s on three different styles of wagon wheels to a younger guy who needed em for a all original 75 CJ that was left to him. He put a 3" body lift on it and bought new tires and wheels for it. Turned out the new wheels still didnt fit so he approached me about making a trade.
My old 35's

And he gave me a brand new set of 37x12.5-16 Iroks on 16x10 Blackrock Lobo wheels.Dude paid almost 1800 for tires and 300 for the rims! They are new.

He asked for 400 cash on top of my wheels which i agreed to. Then he asked if I knew how to set up ring and pinions and i said yes. Now he wants me to keep my cash and just trade my labor. Zero out of pocket upgrade.

I'm looking on getting a Buick Century with the 3.1L V6 for $300. Just needs a new radiator and a water pump.

Any time any body says water pump, radiator, thermostat, etc... I walk away! It's probably been ran hot! I'd checked the oil for coolant, and the coolant for oil. Intake gasket blowing pieces of garbage (p.o.g)

About 4 years ago my grandpa's car was T-boned and totalled. The insurance company gave him the option to buy it back so he asked me if I wanted to pay the fee and take it. Being the grandpa that he is he decided to split the fee with me so I got a 12 year old Taurus with 78,000 miles for $200. You can see the body damage over the rear wheel. That's how it looked after being totalled, I never fixed anything. It's been our family car ever since.

Does it have be a car? I got an M5OD-R2, transfer case and drive shafts from an 02 v6 f150 with only 80k on them l. All for $100.

For a truck, I got my 85 B2 for $480 from a farmer. For being a 27 yr old truck it ran good and had a very small amount of rust. Was my daily driver for 3 yrs till both the engine and granny let go.

Would probably have to be my first truck. Got it from my shop teacher 4 years ago, don't have it anymore. Paid $725 for it after we put in a new slave and cleaned 'er all up. Said the only reason he let the truck go was because it didn't have A/C. 2 pictures below, one when i bought, the other a year or so later after sprucing it up a little. It had a surprisingly good body for being a 15 year old NYS truck! God do I miss that truck. 160k on the engine and tranny and not so much as a tick! Everything else was falling apart underneath from the rust though so I had to let er go for a newer more reliable truck as work is a 45min drive one way.

This pic is after painting the fender flares and rear bumper to match. I think it made the truck look alot better.
