i have a feeling these two problems might not be related. i could be wrong though. when my cam shaft synchronizer went out my truck bucked or jerked anywhere between 3000-4000 rpm but didnt do it above or below that. idk if that helps you. but your other problem def sounds electrical, i'd check your alternator and battery and go from there

ok thank you very much and my truck dosnt even have the cam shaft synchronizer i researched that many time and yes i also just put a new battery and it seems to have an issue cranking over its really slow when its cranking but even when i had the battery replaced it did the same and its a bigger battery then last time so im thinking its due to a bad alt cus the battery seems to be worse over time cranking terms

use a multimeter to test you voltage with your truck on. it should be around 13 or 14 volts. and im not sure what to tell you on your other problem then

ok i can do that i just have to get a meter first i just moved leaving all my tools behind
thank you very much

harbor freight! or borrow an autozone one. idk if autozone can do alternator tests

ok i can pull my alt for sure so its all in what easier and my volt meter in the dash wouldnt help me at all right cus its normally high unless im changing gears and stop and go

yea i dont think the dash one does much. but my voltmeter on my dash rarely moves unless im subbin it

alright i think that says alot right there and what do you have for subs another thing im looking into if i get this fixed of course

:icon_confused:

If you did an engine swap and you have sudden, intermittent electrical failure I'd look at a wiring connection, not the Alt. Backfire sounds like a timing issue or raw fuel in exhaust system.

i have 2 rockford fosgate p2 10's and a fosgate amp. i need to run 4 gauge wire though, im only running 8 gauge right now

well i found that my cable out of my coil to a capacitor i belive its a capacitor was the issue the wire go pulled out and every time it grounded out it caused the intermintin issue i was having and as far as the back firing it hasnt happened again so im not sure but i know its running rich due to bad o2s
o and my alt battery and starter are all good i had them tested
:yahoo:
