So I just need to know if I switch the number 1 and number 4 pistons are they exactly the same other than opposite one another or am I going to mess something up

Each piston/cylinder wears different. If its a fresh rebuild with new pistons i wouldnt worry, if its used pistons going back into the same block its important to get them back where theyncame from.

If you don't remember, then flip a coin :)

The pistons themselves are exactly the same, but as said if used they do build up wear patterns, but engine won't "blow up", lol
If they have new rings and cylinders are honed then less of an issue

4.0l sohc pistons do have an arrow, or mark, that should point to the front of engine

Thank you very much I was worried hopefully I will get it started in the morning this was not only my first rebuild but the first time I have been part of any kind of rebuild but I am confident it is going to run and Thank you again

Yeah as said so long as the cylinders have been honed and new rings on pistons you should be fine. Good luck!

Engines is goes vroom.

15:1 ratio goes VAAAROOOOOOOM
