myy 90 used to be my grandpas, he slid into a curb and the rusty coil bucket gave so he gave it to me for free. his reaction was "WTF did you do to my truck?" around here if a ranger is on its last legs its a mexican driveing it, otherwise its older men. i always get a wave or smile/nod when the older guys see me driveing my ranger

heres me with it

I know a 96 year old man with a 4x4 1976 Chevy C30 with a 454 Bigblock.

I asked him why he had such a big truck, he said its because he only drives a mile a week, and he likes to still be able to hear his vehicles.

My dad has a huge jack in his, the things about 4 feet high. and can go up to about 6 feet on its own, with a slot for a 2x4 extension. Haha
I think he used it about 2 years ago to jack the roof up on our porch when he redid it, other than that its useless.

im sure my dad has one too! hes got everything in there! buckets, chains, paint, carpet, rope, multiple coolers, feather duster, he has shelves and everything. the weird thing is that it is all so well organized! he puts everything in those canvas tote bags too. the only thing in the back of my truck(without cap) is a ratchet strap and a rusted adjustable wrench... just the necessities. i can do anything with an adjustable wrench and a ratchet strap!!!:woot:

he'll still spend $30 a week in gas!

Yea my grangpas is a 93 2x4 with the 4.0 and 5 speed. Mines a 97 4x4 with the 4.0 and auto. Needless to say, I cant wait to get his truck. Mine will be the offroad rig and his will become a b!tch!n pavement pounder!

yeah, a feather duster! who the h-e double hockey sticks carries a feather duster with them! who the hell says h-e double hockey sticks? :icon_confused:

Old guys.

Haha

And yea, his pharmacy, only daughter, and a decent gas station is all within a mile - 3 miles away.

i wonder if when we get old, do we sell our trucks and get stock 2wd's with caps....or do we keep ours, and our grandkids will get 2wd's with caps, and be like "why do all old men drive jacked up rangers with out caps?"

haha, that would be really funny! too bad by that time our grandkids will be driving, it will be hybrids, or fully electric cars and be laughing at us driving our weird gas trucks

Im gonna go with option 2. I just hope that our kids and grandkids will have a mid-sized truck like the Ranger. Oh im sad now, its going away. :bawling: On the plus side, I really only like the TTB trucks and those should be around for a long while.
