Old men own rangers!?!

I don't want to keep my truck any longer. This is only my 3rd winter, driving, and i live in the snow belt. My first winter, I had a FWD, and it was decent. My 2nd winter, I had a Subaru, AWD and it was awesome in the snow! Now I have the 2wd ranger, and well, let's just say, 4x4 is a must haha!

So this summer, I plan on getting a 4x4 Rig. I want a 4.0 4x4 5sp, ext. cab. The only thing that sucks is, I've put about 4,000$ into my truck (including purchase price), within a year. So, I think I should just keep it, I'll be lucky to get half that out of it.

I'm AN "OLD" guy. I'm 56. My 2005 Ranger extended cab has Euro Lights, 17" Maxx 6's with Toyo rubber. K&N FIPK, 2007 Edge valance with driving lights, Street Scene mirrors, Westin nerf bars, Electra life locks/remote entry and power windows. Black suede APC seats, Xplode head unit with 4 Infinity speakers 12" RF Punch sub with a custom built fiberglass enclosure. And I ain't through yet. Sounds like a trash truck that an old man drives doesn't it?
I guess I nees an 8.8 because I've blown 2 rear ends before 50K.

I would love to have a Subaru Brat. Good on gas and can go anywhere.

Im guessing you had an outback though, brats dont get seen often in the snowy areas, road salt killed many of them.

......but you do have a cap? jk, again!

up here there's quite a few ranger owners that are older (50+) keeping in mind all the NEWER (03-08) rangers i see in town are driven by younger guys, I see a few girls driving them too, but silly girls, trucks are boys..

i agree, here in the midwest most are grandpas, one guys owns a nice stepside with 31's on it tho.

well my family really screws the demographics up. My 93yo grandfather has a 2007 ranger 3.0 2wd supercab edge w/o a cap. my 66 yo father has a 2001 ranger 3.0 2wd supercab sport w/o a cap my 40 yo brother has a 86 ranger 2.9 std cab 4x4 w/o a cap I'm 25 yo with a 01 3.0 2wd supercab and a 87 supercab 4x4 with a 4.0l sohc both w/o a caps and my 16 yo nephew has a 86 2.9 4x4 long bed with a bed cover. damn kid is screwing everthing up.

Most of the older gentlemen I notice are driving 98+ flare sides. And silver is the predominant color. But I see alot of them in 2wd reg and ext. cab 93+ Rangers as well. Only a few I've noticed had caps.

I didn't start a thread saying there was a certain type of Ranger they drove, I just wanted to state that the majority of the Ranger owners in my area are alot older than me! And I was just curious if any others noticed :-) Thanks for the input so far, Keep it up!
